A Wish for Tomorrow's Children...
There are so many things I would like to see
happen for the children that come after me.
Truth and love and maybe wealth,
but mostly a life filled with good health.
With a broken spine you cannot run,
but soon researchers will get the job done.
Diabetes is never a treat,
blood tests, injections, and nothing sweet.
Leukemia makes a face look old,
and for now the cure remains untold.
MD makes the muscles die,
but you hardly see these children cry.
Cancer seems the worst of all,
attacking even the very small.
Diseases strike like snow in May,
making the flowers go away.
We all need to be a part of it,
get at the very heart of it,
help raise funds that will endure,
until each illness has a cure.
