The Soulmate Self

The gray shadows once followed me,
Haunting and echoing my every move.
The black obelisk once stood before me,
Daring me to fall over dead.
Reincarnated lives meeting through worm holes,
Tangling with each other
In the corrugated air of space-time continuum.

But that was yesterday.

Today...the past resolves itself,
Knitting itself neatly into the present,
Flowing fast and outwards into the future.
All points from behind and
All points from ahead
Converge perfectly into this moment...

Where god's love meets me in a dream
And the darkness hugs me in the middle of
One sunny afternoon,
And it feels just like coming home...

Like coming home.
