The World is a Machine

Somewhere down the hall
A bubbler whirrs.
A radiator clunks,
Disturbing the peace.
The crunch-fall sound of
Some ice falling into a bucket,
And the loud squeek-squeek
Of new tennis shoes
Clopping down the straight away.
A Coke machine agitates
The rodents nesting within.
These are heard only by
Blind men.
